Auxiliary/side marker
Is there really no post on here about the side marker lights? I can’t seem to find it. 1 out of the 4 work. I didn’t even know the front were supposed to work until I saw a photo. This would be really helpful if anyone knows something about them, changing the bulbs, the fuses for the front ones, etc. anything would help..
thanks guys love u 😘

There is always more to lighting than cosmetic appearance. Safety codes require reflectors (passive) and light up color coded to determine the extent of the vehicle [the codes are down to inches/cm from edge of the vehicle].
Typically the markers are hard to get to and often the sockets get corroded. Most of the bulbs in first gen were filament and they have reached end of life.
Some sockets are not the twist type but are wedge type. It is important that the wire from the bulb be in a certain location on the wedge (glass) to make a contact when shoved in,
Good luck with replacing them, they may be hard to get to but can prevent an accident.

Fuse are on a branch. It does not make economical or safety sense to just put a fuse and run separate wires for a leaf or two [just going by what makes sense to me].
Voltmeter can give false readings as they draw no current. You can have bad connector and the voltmeter will show 12v. I highly recommend a 3-5watt test light.
I might be tempted to throw a bit of electrolytic grease to prevent water intrusion.

Most likely the socket is bad as it gets exposed to water splashed up as you drive. There are contact cleaners in a can which you can spray into the socket.
