Default 2001 RX300 wont start

Lets start with I pulled the Lexus RX300 to the side a few years ago due to not having time to fix the exhaust leak. Well it was time to work on it this summer so I could start using it again. as I was letting it run and I started to remove the O2 sensor it just stop working. I put the new O2 sensor on and tried to start it but no go, it would just crank and do nothing. So I thought maybe fuel pump, replaced that and still the same. I started to checking fuses and found the EFI fuse would keep blowing when I tried to start the Lexus. I did a little research and it said to look for wires that might have been showing the wire or the fuel injectors might be bad. I did not see a wire but I did hear a whining noise when I had the key turned to the on position. I pulled all the fuel injectors and found one broken. I put all new injectors and sparkplugs and injector coils in and put back together (I might have missed something in that process). Now it wont even try to turn over and I heard the whining noise again but then a click and nothing. checked the fuses and no blown fuse that I can see at this point.

Any help would be great!

Won't even turn over, just a click? Start with the battery, then move on to the starter solenoid

I tracked it down to a fuse I must have pulled and never put back in. So now it just cranks acting like its not getting gas now. So I am going to pull the fuel pump and see if thats not getting anything. I am almost wondering if its a bad line for the fuel pump. anything thoughts on how to track that?

Not sure why you have zeroed into fuel issue.

Spark, timing are other two important things.

Check presence of spark.

Then try alternate fuel, starting fluid or equivalent [very low doze please].

I tried the lightbulb on to the fuel power line and it did not light when I turned the key. but also the EFI fuse is blowing again and I am hearing a whining noise when the key is turned to the open position. When I put a new fuse in the EFI it does the whining noise and when I pull it back out it stops.

I am still unable to get the Lexus started. Could this be a computer issue from the o2 sensor being removed while running?

Is the EFI fuse still popping?

If yes get hold of circuit diagram and trace. You can use ohm range on multimeter and check each load for a short.

Does the EFI fuse get blown by simply inserting the key into the ignition without turning the key?
Had this EFI fuse problem just recently and it turned out to be a short in the Lexus 89783-48010 Transponder Key Amplifier.

Think outside box forget other symptoms. Is car in park neutral? Is it the immobilizer or battery flat effecting anything. Does it crank?

It does crank but the fuse has already blown. so no gas can get to the engine. If I just turn the key to on, I hear a whining noise and then the fuse blows in a couple seconds. I thought about jumping the fuse with just a wire to see if I can get it to turn over.

Default Not a good idea to jump fuse.

No, please do not jump the fuse. The weakest connection will burn up. It can be a trivial piece of wire or connector, but you will spend endless time to figure it out. In the worst outcome, you can start a fire and everything including where the vehicle is can reduce to carbon. Since it is a fuel related system the probability of a catastrophe is higher and although property loss will happen for sure, human life can be lost. So, a very strong "NO".

If you don't want to ohm out the short, just buy a handful of fuses and keep testing by removing the load(s) ... like fuel pump.
