Greetings!
Just changed the ECU for the fuel pump and the fuel pump itself and still cannot get my '92 SC400 to start. I checked the fuse for the fuel pump as well. Cannot hear any "noise" at the tank nor smell any gas near the engine.
Is there anything I am overlooking with respect to fuel???
I know I need to confirm there is spark, but I do not know how to accomplish that.
All thoughts and direction will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

To check for spark, pull out a wire from one of the cylinders and stick a screwdriver in there. Touch the metal part of the screw driver to a point on the block (ground) Get someone to bump the starter and check to see if spark jumps from the screwdriver to ground. Do this on both sides as you have two coils and distributors, one for each bank.
As for fuel, some people will point you to the 12v fuel mod. Search for this and you will find how to do it.

Ive been having no start issues with my SC4 lately too. I have it narrowed down to the circular "EFI" relay in the under hood fuse box. With my key in the "on" position, I can tap the top of that relay, then I hear fuel rushing through the lines and then the car will start. Maybe something for you to try.
