It is more about slow speed response. As you find small gaps and your speed goes up to the limit, it is about how you get there. Even puttering around in traffic, I cannot stand anything lower than SPORT+ mode (SPORT mode is kind of OK). The throttle response is in one word, dull, the steering does not feel nearly as sharp/quick and direct and the transmission shifts even in manual mode are noticeable slower in other modes versus SPORT. I also put the throttle controller on (SprintBooster v3) and RR racing tune. All of this together makes it fun that the car is even willing to kick the tail out on a slow 30 mph 90 degree turn. It makes the car fun to drive even where the speed limit is 30 mph or so.

Unfortunately your first mistake was comparing the rc350 to an RCF. That’s not meant to sound cocky. You really can’t compare them. They share nothing in the driveline. My mother owns a is350 (which is comparable to the rc350) and other than the door chimes and the look of some of the interior there is no comparison.

I have a 2019 IS350 F-Sport and an '16 RCF. While the nice 11.3 inches infotainment system is so much better in my IS350 than the antiquated 7 inch screen and the graphics in it, everything else on the RCF is simply on a different level. Lexus was not messing around when they created this "Frankenstein" chassis for the RCF. While the IS350 is a LOT of fun to toss around, at around 6/10th or 7/10th, driving it back to back with the RCF, going above 8./10ths, the RCF just is on a different planet. The chassis feels rock solid with no hint of flex while the IS starts to fall apart due to the roll, shuddering and jittering. The level of sure footedness of the RCF is very high compared to the IS on exactly the same turn in the IS350.

as someone who daily’s their RCF each day about 100-160 miles day, I’m currently getting 24 mpg on the dot. Always in Eco. Mostly tollways & highways.

/at 60k miles rn, im due for spark plugs. that should boost me up a little bit~
