Too good to be true?
Long term lurker on this forum. I've finally decided to make a profile
I saw this on Autotrader Canada: https://www.autotrader.ca/a/lexus/rc...6_6_6&sprx=100
I believe it had three previous owners. It has a clean Carfax but no service records.
I'm a bit sceptical on the mileage given it is a 2016 and worried it might be clocked.
The price is really good however it is not Lexus CPO which I was considering asking the dealer to consider doing even though they do their own ''pre-inspection''.
Sounds too good to be true?

So $45k (USD) / $60k (CAD) for a 2016 RC-F with 2,500 miles seems way too good to be true (my opinion of course).
That's a $55k (USD) car at least based on the listings I see here in the states.
The orange *might* be part of it, that's a color you either love or hate, but still doesn't make it a $45,000 (USD) car.
Again, all this my opinion, but they might have some massive hidden fees you only find out about when you try to buy it so they can advertise that price.
They also might make you finance through them to get that price and they'll make a bunch there.
To say a thorough PPI is in order is an understatement.

Wow. It looks too good to be true, but you never know.
It even comes with a performance package.
I don't see anything misleading so far.
I wonder if it comes with only one key. If it does, why?
*Edit: I see that second key in cup holder.

Looks really good from the photos, surprised by the price though as I’d expect this one to command at least maybe 50k with the current market conditions. Molten Pearl F’s with the performance pack aren’t super common. That’s a brand new car, if the carfax checks out this one’s a steal I’d say.
Trending Topics
It has only 4000 KM on it and $60K is cheap given the market here. Given there is no documentation on history of it, there is something shady about it. You can pay to have it fully inspected to somewhat mitigate the risks that come with no history.
In Calgary, AB, Lexus of Calgary listed exactly the same CF/TVD 2016 Molten Pearl was listed for $68K with 15,000 KM and it sold very quickly. It might slightly vary region by region, but because of lack of history/records there might be a risk that this car had been in an accident or something else shady.
For example, look at this one at Lexus of Calgary. It has 57,000 KM and is a standard spec RCF (moonroof, 10 spoke wheels, LSD and non-perf) and it is listed for the same $60K as the one you listed with only 4000 KM and performance package on it.
2015 Lexus RC F - Calgary (autotrader.ca)
Or a 2015 standard package with 33,000 KM for $62,000
2015 Lexus RC F - Calgary (autotrader.ca)
Or this one in Edmomton with 73,000 KM and has performance package (black). Same $60K. Given the comps, the price is too good to be true
2016 Lexus RC F PERFORMANCE PACKAGE - Edmonton (autotrader.ca)
A molten pearl CF/TVD with nearly 60,000 KM for $58,000
2015 Lexus RC F PERFORMANCE, 467 HP,MARK LIVINSON,CARBON FIBER PKG - Woodbridge (autotrader.ca)

I feel like a high power RWD coupe having low miles in Canada isn't that odd. It's also at a Chrysler dealership, leading me to believe it was traded in for a (more useful) truck and they're just looking to quickly turn it around.
Worth taking a look at, and if you're serious about it, go ahead and pay for a pre-purchase inspection at a Lexus dealership.
At that mileage, makes sense there's no service history - because the car hasn't been driven! I'd personally budget about $1k on a used car to have all the fluids changed out due to age and also possibly change the tires (again due to age) and enjoy the crap out of that car.

There is a carfax on the dealer site, looks like a dealer trade when it was new,
