Default What would you replace your RCF with?

Seeing as how the market is so insane right now I’ve found myself window shopping cars, car gurus & autotrader a bit more lately. Later this year the plan is to add an additional car to my garage, an F80 M3 competition. Tbf I may actually wait until the prices adjust a bit and I’ve been looking for months now. This also got me thinking. While I have absolutely no intentions of replacing my RCF at any point in the future as of now.

If I were to replace it, what would I replace it with? A MK5 supra, the new Nissan Z, a g82 M4? Nope nope and no, I’ve never really been a fan of 2 seaters unless it’s like a 3rd or 4th car. I’m also not the biggest fan of the new M’s though I highly respect them tho. I’d also want a V8 coupe if I had to replace my F, so maybe an LC I guess? I guess a 911 would be more likely but still no v8. There will always be faster cars for sure, can the F be replaced easily. What would you replace your F with? I’d also be interested to know what guys moved to from their ISF.

When I was shopping for a new car I thought about this, as well. I don't need transportation, but I did want "status" and "fun" since I have more money than time left in my life to spend it. I chose a MBZ E400 4matic cabriolet. Unfortunately, covid shut down production and I'd still be waiting for my car if I had kept waiting (ordered Jan 2021). On a whim I bought the RCF since my wife's 2008 ES350 was getting long in the tooth. Never had a V8 before so it scratches the "fun" want. Status, not so much since it pretty much is an enthusiasts car and lots of RCs are out there without the "F". The RCF is not perfect for an older couple. Low to the ground (hard to get in and out), noisy on anything but perfect roads, difficult to see instrument panel with crap you don't need to see. Next car will likely be less fun but more comfortable...couple years from now.

I have a CT 5 Blackwing on order. First and foremost, I wanted a MT car. Next priority was a honkin V8 and third, ample room but not too big. The CT5 BW fits the bill. Supply chain issues have production at a trickle along with high demand.so it looks like a 2022 may not be coming my way. My order was placed at MSRP but real world sales carry a huge ADM.

My RCF is a unicorn status so cannot imagine that. RCF is a keeper and will be with me for many years so nothing, but if I had pick one. It would have to be a 992 GT3 Touring. However, RCF is more than plenty for me and my talents.

This is a difficult question. It would depend on the situation.

If I was getting attacked by a family of wolverines I would replace my RCF for some bear traps and a shot gun.

Went from a 2019 RCF to a 2021 LC500 coupe, very happy with the LC.

One of the main things I look for is RELIABILITY. But while exploring, M4, C63, RS5 all got tossed into the mix. all great to look at.

But I've loved my RCF so much the next personal goal for me is LC500 (especially with all the reviews about it and how much other members here love it)! So I wouldn't swap for anything in the current price segment, I'd save up for it's big fancier brother.

One day.. One day..

The RCF is a perfect car for me. I can't see replacing it. It does so many things very well.

I always have wanted a 911 Turbo or a Nissan GTR. That said, I would probably just get a 911S.

I would also like to see if Lexus builds a second generation RCF.

The only thing I can imagine replacing it with is a Taycan turbo s, which I cannot afford just yet
I figure someday I'll make the jump to electric but for now, I will enjoy the RC-F V-8 for a few more years.

For me, the GT3 911 992 Touring is the best in the 911 range. Hypothetically, it would have to be a step up in performance and handling while offering the visceral feel, experience in spades that RCF does so well. C8 Z06 and 911 GT3 Touring are the two cars that seem to be pinnacle for me right now. Both have the visceral ultra high-revving philosophy with amazing performance/handling.

The C8 Z06 is a two-seater so 911 GT3 Touring 992 is the only car with back seats. However, I paid all-cash for my RCF so money was never an object. Just what I felt was appropriate level for me to "invest" in a fun/track oriented high-performance car while keeping focus on investments/children's future. In other words, I am not that big of a car enthusiast to spend $150+K on a car. While not exceptional at anything, hard to find a car at $100K or below that does so many things so well as RCF does.

Maybe the new Z. It might be a downgrade, but I always wanted turbos. Never had a change.
