Supra vs RC F
So, you picked the slowest time ever on an RCF and compared it with the best time on the Supra? 12.8 seconds is the slowest time ever recorded with the RCF. Much like, there are many 12.5 seconds times on the A90 Supra as well.
FYI, RCF with a good driver and good tires has proven to run 12.5 seconds bone stock. With a full exhaust, 12.3 - 12.4 seconds. The trap speed of 112 - 113 mph is also on the slowest runs. The 115 mph trap speed has been well documented at many different places. So, yeah the Supra should still be quick by a few tenths, but not like the way it showed up in the video.
No one said RCF should have won. That is why no one has issues with the first run, but it was a close enough race. The whole point is that the race should have been much closer than it was. It gives ammo to the negativity people bring and the car certainly does not deserve it. Like I said above, I am willing to put my money where my mouth is.
The issue is with the driver's capabilities of not understanding that you cannot shift a car into 2nd gear right from dead stop launch. Would you shift your ISF into 2nd gear at launch and launch from second? Would you do a 2nd gear roll at 50 km/h (30 mph). If you claim you do then I would like to see proof of how it goes down. Also, who would shift their car at 5000 - 6000 rpm as it is apparent in the video?
Also, dyno numbers are not comparable. Stock RCFs could dyno as high as 400 whp bone stock or as low as 380 - 385 whp. It all depends on dyno calibration. There is also area under the curve where revs determine how long the car pulls for. It is not all about peak HP. In this case, the RCF is able to rev out a lot more than the Supra.

Yes, there will always be videos posted online with quicker 1/4 mile times for stock vehicles than what magazines and manufacturers will publish. This goes for both the RC-F (12.5s) and the 2021 GR Supra (high 11s with a good driver). With a downpipe and E50 tune, both the 2020 and 2021 Supras are 10 second cars.
With the VIR Lightning Lap time data provided from Car and Driver, we can also see how the 2021 GR Supra compares to both the regular RCF and the RCF Track Edition on a race track:
#93 2021 GR Supra - 2:59.3
#115 2020 Lexus RC-F Track Edition - 3:02.6
#158 2015 Lexus RC-F w/ TVD - 3:05.8

I simply grabbed the available data found on the zero to sixty times website and I didn't cherry pick the slowest RCF time to the quickest 2021 Supra time. Here's the full listing from the site.

Why don't you answer the question? Would you do a dig run in 2nd gear? Would you do a 50 km/h (30 mph) in 2nd gear? This is absurd! The trolling is absolutely horrible.
Again, you are cherry picking. Majority of RCF tests are of 12.5 - 12.7 seconds with probably just a couple of 12.8 seconds. MT and C&D all have majority of them around the times I quoted. I run circles around cars in my RCF that run high-12s on paper.
Also, the VIR times as has been discussed before, it is the slowest time an RCF ever ran. There is no other track were the gap between an RCF and RCF TE is that big. Saschensring lap of RCF TE is 1:37.8 and the RCF TVD is 1:39. There are many others I can quote of RCF vs RCF TE. It is the only track where the RCF ran a bit slower than an RS5, ISF or the LC500 etc. I could post all of the other data, if you really want it. It is an anomaly. The RCF also did not have carbon fiber package on it and there is no evidence it was a TVD since it was with a moonroof on it.
Here is a video of a stock RCF vs stock Supra and stock M2. The RCF walks an A90 Supra. Granted, this is not the 2021 Supra, but this is something your magazine numbers would never tell.
