Aem intake
Anyone running the aem intake? Is it new? I do not recall coming across it when looking at intakes but this one seems more efficient just based on the fact it looks like it seals off the bay while utilizing the factory ram.
If your running it, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’m running the Takeda and have no complaints about function but am a little embarrassed every time I try to show off my fake carbon fiber look air box. Uhh they should have just left it abs plastic, the carbon look on this piece is soooo cheap looking.

Yeah. @TOPHER9425 is running this on his RCF. I talked extensively about it with him before I purchased my Takeda Stage 2. He seemed very happy with it and highly recommended it.
@TOPHER9425 how do you like the AEM full intake over just a pipe & secondary airbox? What is the result of losing the secondary airbox flap? I have the takeda currently and am running the RR Racing heat shield. I know a cone intake is the way to go but my options are limited on the GSF. The AEM one can be fit to the GSF, but sadly I am unsure if the Blitz carbon one can be retrofitted to a GSF.
@05RollaXRS What made you get the Takeda over the AEM initially?

@Nunz I prefer the AEM over them all. With the vacuum Line for the flap capped off, the growl is constant, then sounds like a freaking beast at WOP! No cutting, straight forward install that took about 45 minutes at most. CF airbox is still looking great after all these years also.
Hey man, that was several years back, but I wanted to make sure I retain the OEM dual-mode air intake box and not get rid of it while getting the more free-flowing velocity stack and the lighter and smoother aluminum pipe that came with Takeda. I was worried heat-soak and also the loss of torque that comes with not having less air flow below 4000 rpm. It just was a safer approach of adding something to the OEM design. Several years on, after having done a lot more mods, I would say it is one of the least noticeable mods. I still have kept it on, but honestly I would have no issues if I had to go back to OEM.
