Default Ctek 7002 Battery Charger

Tried doing a search but I couldn't find anything. Has anyone used the CTEK 7002 battery charger on the RC-F yet? The Lexus manual says not to charge above 5 amps but the CTEK 7002 says that the maximum amps is 7. Does anyone know if this charger is safe to use? I'm not sure if this charger will realize that the recommended amps is 5 (it only says maximum is 7 amps) and adjust accordingly...

I've kept all of my vehicles on a Deltran for the last 10yrs. The Deltran, and I believe the CTEK, actively monitor the battery condition. I have not had any issues with the Deltran and as a side benefit it seems to be longer battery life. My 2013 Boxster is still on the original battery.

Perhaps this will help with your decision
