Anyone tried to fit the 2020 rear diffuser to older RC F’s?



Looks more sporty I think!

 

Came across this video on youtube of someone fitting it to his.

 

Him and I discussed this because I had tried it first and gave up. I actually bought that piece along with the whole rear black section because it's actually pretty cheap. Unfortunately, the large black section is about an inch wider on the 2020 and the way it attaches is completely different.

so to be clear are you saying it would need a lot of custom work and don’t a direct bolt on. Perhaps a better option would be a Tom’s diffuser as it’s almost a direct bolt on?

 

would be less work on the Tom’s bit a LOT of dollars🤑

Maybe I missed it in the video, but making that thing fit doesn't look very hard at all. Kid was a little too worried about the stock bumper, but looks like you can just use some double side tape after trimming off the tabs to hold the 2020 diffuser in place. $80 plus paint sounds fairly inexpensive to me and isn't overkill like some of the aftermarket ones I've seen.

 

Still have the diffuser piece? Wanna sell it to me or is it all hacked up?

 

It's hacked up. The main issue is were it extends inward hits the mesh section and crossbar on the bumper so you can't make it sit flush.
