Default CF plate - is this normal?

Just noticed yesterday that edges around door switches (both doors) are somewhat ‘peeling’. It’s showing very small ‘white’ bubbles as if CF coating is coming off. Is this normal? Has anyone had this experience? Would this be covered under the manufacturer warranty or considered ‘wear/tear’?

Hope you can see in these photos. Driver side is more noticeable at the top.

Take it to the dealership. Not normal and they should fix it.

The anti reflective coating was peeling around the edges. I guess it was common problem on 2015 RCFs and other Lexus models.

Thanks for the response. I’ll make an appointment and see what the local dealership is willing to do. Hopefully no push back.

As long as you are still under warranty they should not give you a problem. I was having my rear struts replaced because they were leaking. Previous owner had the car lowered on RSR springs. I put the OEM springs back on and took it the dealership. While in the waiting room, I googled “things to be checked before RCF warranty expires.” The dealership did not question anything and I didn’t even purchase my car through them. Part of the reason why my next car will be another Lexus. They stand behind their products!

I second this. I wasn't the original first owner either and they went above and beyond with everything. But I guess that's what warranty is for
