Default *Cat back exhaust advice*

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some cat back exhaust advice, I’m in the market for a cat back exhaust for the RCF and looking to spend around $1000-$3000. My main priority is having an exhaust that doesn’t make the RCF sound like a mustang or “muscle car” for that matter, I’d prefer more of an exotic higher pitch note, also little to no drone and preferable not raspy I will also most likely be keeping the resonators. Unless my desired sound is achieved by resonator delete, Hopefully there is something available for this price, I look forward to hearing your guys suggestions.

I had the same exact preference as you. I wanted an unmistakeable V8 noise, but far removed from the classic American muscle car noise. I believe, Invidia offers exactly that. Just the right amount of loudness, pitch, volume, density and melodic qualities. You can see the video below. Also, the quality is amazing for what you pay. I have the titanium burnt blue tips and they have similar look to stock, but with the burnt blue tips.

Check out these videos. The orange one is mine

You will never get a V8 to sound like a V10 or V12. I went with the Apexis resonated catback exhaust, it's sounds aggressive when you get into the throttle and just about as quiet as stock during normal driving. I went with Mod In Japan (Louie Roc) for my exhaust and most of my upgrades, used Elvin Wong for the other upgrades

Do not get the ark exhaust. Got mine and it was very bad quality.

Agreed w/ Invidia comment. Only had my car for 2 weeks with it but very satisfied so far. Great look (blue tips) and sounds awesome. I love it that it sounds ‘normal’ when idle.

Recently bought a RCF that the previous owner had the Invidia already installed on. My first choice was the Borla, but MAN - this Invidia sounds incredible. Very tame when regular cruising, but when you open it up, it ROARS. There is no drone either. Some people that were in the car mentioned it definitely has an exotic sounds to it, and is far from American.

Happy with the sounds and the quality of the catback as well.

I'd love to pick up an Invidia. Drool. Just can't justify right now spending that money. Time to stalk the used parts section.

Cannot recommend this exhaust enough. It just keeps getting better and better especially in hot weather when it really opens up a lot. I completely dropped the idea of deleting the resonator as they have tuned the acoustics so perfectly that I fear it will get ruined if I mess around with it. It properly sounds like a $80+ K car exhaust note.

It was 97F today and this thing really was singing. I am addicted to the RCF especially I put this exhaust on. It just makes puttering around town at grandma speeds so much fun. I firmly believe I can make a POV video that will do this exhaust proper justice. Just have not had the time yet to research a good POV camera deal.

Agreed, I love the Invidia sound; I want to bring out the distinct Japanese muscle of this glorious engine rather than have it sound like a Chevy or Ford V8. Invidia has a great blend of exotic muscular sound, and not so loud that every cop you pass will be tailing you. Been looking to get one, just have to justify that expenditure to the wife 🤔
