Looking for opinions from anyone who has purchased a TE. I am about ready to secure one but wanted to hear any feedback from current owners wether it’s good or bad.
is the paint job good?
any fitment or quality issues with the car?
hows the carbon finish and panel gaps?
are you happy with the performance and luxury for a 100k car?
Any info is good info so please share if you have a TE.

what color is your TE and how many miles on it? Garage queen or track car? Wife told me if I wanted a track edition that I would have to get rid of both my RCF and the LC 500 which only has 500 miles exactly. Rain back in Seattle so I never got the LC out. Put 40 miles on my RCF Thursday. It was nice dry weather. I can’t get rid of my RCF because I have personalized it to my taste and I love the Molten Pearl color. As a young punk, I’ve owned two 69 Camaro Convertibles, one an SS Hugger Orange and the other, the Indy Pace Car Replica. Love the orange! Wow that’s been 45 years ago. Molten Pearl TE or LCF, I’m on board, until then I will envy all TE owners!
I like it, but I'm putting more miles on my FF than my TE at the moment
I wish performance was better, but I'm not really complaining, I'm getting novel headers ceramic coated and then installed hopefully within the next month - we'll see what happens regarding sound
@vraa Do you mean your ISF? I think 472 HP at around ~3780 lbs is a great PWR. I am not sure Novel would be the best option for you as it is known to lose power on RCF. It is more about noise than power gain. You will spend so much money and end up losing power while gaining that high pitch sound. To be honest, you should get a midpipe first with bigger diameter and no secondary cats. Since you have titanium axleback portion, I would probably leave that. Resonators are optional. Most of your quibbles about the sound would go away. Much cheaper and simpler option. You will also gain around 20 whp from better flowing exhaust system. Headers wise, I believe PPE Engineering is the most popular option. There is SIKKY as well, but people prefer PPE Engineering EL headers. Gains are about the same for both PPE and SIKKY.
My TE is white. Car will probably never see a track just used for spirited driving or long open roads/cruises. Car just hit 1600 miles.
I love the car, the build and paint quality are top notch. I like cars that are rare or low production numbers. At times I wish it had more sound but probably won't mess with anything but maybe a set of really lightweight wheels and wider tires.
If I was a track rat I would probably buy another Civic Type R, for what they cost and are capable of it would be a good weekend track car. . Cheap parts, easy to work on, and can run with some much more $$$$ cars.
I wonder if the CF hood is available through Lexus. I'd like to slap that bad boy on my 2015. I'm not a huge fan of the TE wing, but then nobody sought my opinion...

Would look great with white. It will complete the Euro/JDM/Asian RCF carbon/TVD look.
Cost of hood is the problem.
10-14k which is not worth it.
The wing on the car grows on ya, I really like the F that’s embossed in the edges. It does add a young kid/Honda/Subie type flare on a classy car but complete the package I guess.
