I was inspecting/cleaning the engine bay of my 15 RCF last night. I noticed what looked like could possibly be a mounting point for some kind of cover or shield. One is right on the valve cover, just below the oil fill cap, and the other one is pretty much in the same exact spot on the opposite side of the motor. Is something supposed to clip onto here or is this as it should be ? Thanks
I don't think so. Looks like they are there for some purpose (something that runs across the valve cover), but are not used for anything at the moment.

Rolla, if you get a chance could you pop your hood real quick and take a look? It would put my mind at ease if I know it's normal and not missing something. I think I'm just a little OCD about this car

GS F has the exact same thing in the exact same place with nothing on it as well. Maybe something they use at the factory during production, but have no use for once the engine is assembled.
