How's the TVD in terms of getting the car to go sideways, does it prevent this?
No, TVD in track mode depending on speed and how aggressively you turn-in will make the tail kick out when you get in the power. Though, with traction control off, the LSD RCF will also kick the tail out rather easily.
have you measured minimum rotor thickness to see if it truly needs replacement. Replacing the rotors seems like the new way for stealerships to get your money
If all RC F rotors wear like mine have then there is no way I would reuse them even if the thickness is in spec. I still have 4-5 mm on my factory pads at 63k miles. But there is a 1/16"+ deep groove worn into the rotors from the pads. I would not place new pads on rotors like that, and I never turn rotors. But I'm betting my rotors are below the minimum threshold anyway.
I priced out around $1,600 to do my pads and rotors on all 4 wheels myself. That's using stock replacement rotors and Endless MX72 pads. But I'm trading in my RC F on a new one soon. So I'm not going to do them unless the sensor trips or the dealer low ***** my appraisal due to the brakes.
I hated the dust on my wheels and replaced my brake pads myself. Evolution z23 brake pads delivered to my house for $90.00. I did not need do rotors or calipers car had 8000 miles on it.
