After a couple of months of looking, a couple blown deals and a nightmare with Carvana, I have found the right one. Traded my 370Z for a '15 Red on black with all options. Pristine condition, Lexus certified. The dealer took great care of me. I think certified is the only way to go now that I've done it. Having had a blue one for a week with the std stereo, I can say the Mark Levison is a big improvement, glad I have it. Not a $2000 improvement, but by far a better sound. The carbon roof is very impressive in person, looks perfect against the red. Anyone know where to pick up a carbon fiber hood vent?
First mod done this morning - Uniden R3 - before I get into trouble.
Must be surreal to see the outgoing old and incoming new together. Great to see finally finding the right one. I can bet you feel good now about not settling for the highly flawed blue one (as I had been recommending). What mod are you planning on first? Exhaust?

I have an Apexi throttle controller and the OEM illuminated door sills ready to install. Figure I will do those at the same time since the wiring runs under the sills. Those are minor things. First priority will be window tint and black out the chrome trim around the doors. Wheels will be second, then exhaust. Exhaust may be 2nd if the wheels turn out to be $$$. I don't think I'm going to mess with the suspension. Hoping I can get the look I want with the wheels.

Suspension is fine stock. Just needs better tires. The touring version of MPSS are OK for most driving, but start to fall a couple of steps behind when pushing it to the limit. If you end up switching wheels, get the MPS4S (XL). They have reinforced stiff sidewalls.
Last I heard a TRUE OEM CF hood coming from Lexus in Japan will set you back some $12K to $15K plus shipping. Personally I would not go for it, but I'm sure some will. There are much cheaper real CF options from CL vendors.
Real OEM RCF CF HOOD:
I wonder if the vinyl 4D/5D "carbon fiber" will match your factory OEM real carbon fiber roof and active rear wing? Depending on where you are located..........there might be some real talents in apply the vinyl to "match" the rest of the car.

Did this end up costing substantially more than the carvana one?
This one is so much better. Happy for you. It's beautiful.
Not really, paid $48,700.
$3,600 more than the blue one and I got performance pack, Mark Levinson and Lexus certified all in pristine condition with 2k less miles.

I don't want to replace the entire hood, just the vent scoop.
