Yeah - original owner leased from the dealership and had it service there. Also had the recall done before I picked it up. 17k miles.

I have one flaw with the car. Dime size flaw in the clear. I think this may be a paint flaw??? Think Lexus will repair under warranty? A friend that has a detail shop said he heard of similar issues with some Toyota paints and a heat gun is required to repair. I was gonna try some M105 on it and see if it helped. It has a texture feel to it, but looks to only be in the clear.

It's a 3D carbon fiber wrap. I am still looking for a good affordable CF hood vent.

Anyone have a drone? I just picked one up a few weeks ago. Not as easy to control as you would think. Fun to fly around, but the skill will be in learning to take good video.

If possible, please send me some info on exactly HOW you wired your Uniden R3? I have the same unit and running it with wires all over the place is a true pain in the a** for sure! You can send it to me via PM if you wish. I like how clean it looks up there on your mirror. Like to know what Power Source you tapped into, and how you ran it - Did you do this yourself or have it done somewhere?

That is hands down the best Portable Radar Detector on the market right now. If you want a few laughs, check out my Thread I posted prior to buying this unit. "Some" Members think of these as True Evil, and took it upon themselves to counsel me on my driving habits!

Thanks!

Sure no problem. I did it myself. Super easy. I already had the mirror mount and cable from my previous car, but you can pick those up on Ebay quickly. I found a post in the forum that showed how to remove the mirror and the two wires to tap. Literally takes 20 mins. I will look around tonight for that thread and post a link to the mirror mount and mirror tap.

I think your paint issue should be covered.

When I first got my NEW TO ME RCF with some 2xxx miles on the odo, there were some pealing of the black paint on the bumper behind the front grill. The Lexus dealership where I was (not the Lexus dealership who sold me the car) took some pictures and sent to Lexus HQ and got approved for the repair. It took about two weeks for the approval and another week for the actual repair. So I let them take pictures first and then I continued to drive my car until they got back with me on the approval and then I dropped off my RCF with them and picked up a Lexus loaner for the week. All good.

Congrats on the awesome car. I'm partial to that, since I have the same one. I've also added the CF hood vent, as well as CF mirror covers and CF shark fin cover, and a CF steering wheel. The CF looks so damn good on infrared. If I had an extra $20k or so, I would add some CF rims...
