Default Noob question : When to shift using paddles

Hey guys,
Trying to learn how to use the paddle shifters or master it lol. When do you shift when you use paddle shifters? At every gear, do you shift at a certain rpm like 4k 5k 6k or at redline?
Thanks

I've used them more in the last 2 months than I did the previous year.
Mostly for engine braking or to stay in a certain gear. Usually during a roll out of 2nd gear.

He's talking about redlining it, in which case it beeps and shifts for you in 1st, then beeps and bounces in 2+.

I didn't know it shifts for you into 2nd. Good to know!

Mine always shifts to second if it redlines in 1st in manual mode. Note: it actually has to hit the limiter to shift. It won't shift at the beep instantly unless you blow through to the limiter.

So I am guessing the safest and best way to shift is before it hits redline for all gears so around 5 to 6k rpm?

negative. Accidentally redlined twice in manual sport+ with trac off on a spirited drive. All it did was bounce off rev limiter. The pop pop pop sound made by my Borla sound sexy as hell though..
