Default RC vs LC

Hi,sorry for my confusion. Is the LC replacing the RC? Am a bit confused because I thought they just release the RC not long ago. Thanks

No its not a replacement for the RC, i think the LC will be a bit more comfortably and refined than the RC, which is more of a GT car

The RC F carbon TVD was around $90,000 loaded and with taxes in PA. The LC 500 will ring in at around $106,000 with taxes. Neither is a steal.

I am going to the LC 500 in 2018. I am less concerned about a tenth here or there than the driving experience. Besides, it will have more horsepower and torque. It sounds like a Maserati, and I expect it to exceed the RC F in 0-60 and top speed.

According to Lexus it's going to be the exact same power and engine as the RC F:

http://www.lexus.com/concept/LC/

They also quote a 0-60 time in just under 4.5 seconds. They say the RC F has a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds. So in other words, they are going to be identical in engine performance according to them. Since the power is the same and so is the 0-60, I'm guessing the weight hasn't changed either.

Basically, it appears the difference is in the body design and probably some of the interior design/options.

Edit: After reading the press release, I found that it also boasts a 10-speed automatic transmission and wheel selections of 20" and 21". No mention of curb weight. But it has to be close to the same as the RC F.

It's a matter of preference. It will be one of the finest cars in its class in the world--like the RC F.

I also don't even think it has the curves of an RCF, from the side it kinda looks like a GTR (Doesn't have any Sexy Curves at all) If i was going to spend 100k on 1 car, it would be the Viper waaaaay before i'd even think about this car. Not Sure WHY this car is so much more Expensive that the RCF anyway? jmo

I wouldn't spend $100k on it. But as ISF said, "It's personal preference." Many people wouldn't spend $75k on the RC F. I didn't even spend $60k. But once I'm done modding I will have spent at least $80k, maybe more.

For $100k I would have went with the V8 F-Type. That 6 figure price tag is why I went with the RC F. But I almost bought a 781 Porsche for the same price. In the end I realized that I really wanted a V8 to build on. Plus the Porsche just wasn't up to the luxury standards of Lexus.

I'm glad I went with the RC F. It's still too pricey for the power for some people. I wanted uniqueness, luxury and potential power. I can't think of a better contender in the price range.

thats why so many Rcf sat on the dealer lot. Picked mine up for 59 new before ttl.
Same goes for the gsf. No one wants to buy one for 90k. Mid 70s it will sell.
i project the LC will collect dust also. Buyer will come in around mid 70s
