Default Steering Response

I'm in the process of trading in my 2015 RC-F with 4500 miles for a brand new 2015. Long story short, I bought a non-carbon model with 2k miles, fell in love with it, wanted one with the carbon package, found the last new 2015, and pulled the trigger. I test drove the new one this weekend, and the steering feels "looser" than my F with 4500 miles. In other words, there seems to be more play in the steering wheel. I did a little research, and the answer may likely be that once the tires are broken in (the new one has 50 miles), the steering will tighten up. Thoughts?

I don't know about that! I recently purchased a 2015 RCF back in Dec. it had 44 miles on it and the steering feels the exact same as the day i rolled off the dealership floor. it has 2600 on it now feels somewhat loose in eco and normal, a little tighter in sport and very tight in sport plus and heavy!...

I have the carbon TVD, but we all have electric steering. The F is MOST responsive in sport + mode. While there is no question that the TVD adds to the handling at higher speeds in a big way, the electric steering works extremely well in sport or sport+ modes. Remember: how it feels is one thing; how it actually responds--and it responds exceptionally well--is another.

I have no complaints on the steering. Luxury and performance are mutually exclusive, so there will always be some trade offs.

Some people have said that the RR-Racing USRS bushings have made their steering feel more responsive. Like ISF001 said, Sport + Mode for the best feeling!

If you're interested in the RR-Racing USRS, feel free to PM me and I'll get you set up with one.
