Please dont listen to what (MGB1120) said his statement is false. If you just pay for it its $190-200 ticket.
Take to sherrif or CHP. Sherrif is $17-20 sign off fee and if im not mistaking CHP is free. And court fee is $25. Total almost $50.

Wait till you get the letter from court and then mail it in with sign off paper.

I did same thing a month ago.

Thanks. I wasn't planning on paying the penalty I know it's pretty high. It's not that hard to find a cop to sign off so I'll gladly pay $25 court fee.

So everybody knows, the RC-F already comes with SQUARE HOLES for the front license plate, and the car should already come with black square plastic inserts (look carefully and you'll see them) where you just thread the 2 self-tapping screws included with the front plate bracket package. This is the first car I buy where mounting the OEM front license plate bracket could be removed without a trace. I haven't installed it myself, and hope to never do that. But if I ever get a ticket, that's exactly what I'd do. And looks, well, OEM. So no cop is going to question your installation.

As far as court fees, it's a very good point. One time I missed a jury duty appt, but had a valid excuse. They told me just go to court to get the ticket dismissed. I went, and f***ing judge just fined me $1. I thought to myself, why? But said, okay, just pay a dollar, no big deal. WRONG. Was charged the dollar, plus $150 in court fees. WTF? Aholes. Learned that lesson the hard way. In summary, it could be cheaper to pay the ticket, depending on options. But if I'm ever in that situation, will ask about signing it off by a sheriff or somebody else. But no courts.

I didn't know this so the rude comment was not appreciated, I was told if I took it to court with it on the car according to police chief who pulled me over on a motorcycle I'd pay court fees and the ticket because it's a state law and needs to be on.

How do you get a cop so sign off on it?

In CA you can have any CHP California Highway Patrol officer sign off.

Default Rcf front plate

I have a bracket that mounts to my tow hook from cravenspeed. Sorry for the pic I don't have any of my own and found this guy who posted a picture of my car on ig.

hey bud, not sure how it is in OH but in CA, when I got my fix it ticket, all I had to do was put my front license plate on and go into any police station (doesn't even have to be same county) and they signed my ticket.
brought the ticket in with me when I had my court date and they reduced the fine down to 25$. it was my second time so I think that's why it was $25. I remember my first time getting it signed off was 10$ or maybe they just increased the prices

That's what I've got. The plate frame itself is carbon fiber and it looks OK. For me, a plate offset to the side is better than one dead center.

You can just go to any police station? It doesn't have to be CHP? Did you also receive a letter from court? I'm not sure I wanna go to court, just want to mail it in.

I'm more likely to pull someone over for a European style plate or a plate in the window than someone with no plate in the front at all. Would I write them a ticket for it? No, unless they are rude. And even then, it would probably be a fix it ticket. Very few of the people I work with would give a ticket for license plate violations. It's mostly just a reason to stop a vehicle and talk with the people inside. 90% of the time if the driver is honest and nice, they leave with a verbal warning.
