Default Shift **** loose

I went to upshift today and I felt my **** turn. I'm still shifting with the shifter, as I'm used to manual from my Z. Slowly getting used to the paddle shifting.

But has anybody had an issue with the shift **** being used? WTF?! That shifter should be hella solid, no questions asked.

And just to add, as I saw a similar issue in the IS350. When I twist it tighter, the shifting path is almost no give, as though the more I twist the less room it has to shift. If that makes sense. A little irritated, because I love this car but damn do I miss shifting a manual.

I had the issue with my RCF, IS350, and my Toyota Tacoma pickup. All of them needed one extra turn but there was no difference in the shift lever itself. The **** just no longer moved.
It is easy to fix. The metallic piece right at the base of the **** that connects to the boot just pops down. Pull it down and then just turn the **** and then just click the piece back into place.

How much effort should it take? It seems like that collar won't move with a decent amount of force using just my hands.

Picked up my car today and noticed the same issue. Kinda annoying. Thanks for the tip though.

Thank you mate!! I was able to tighten the ****, and it's perfect now.
