Don't underestimate your wife's driving ability I recently took my wife to K1 indoor kart event where they use high torque electric motors. They also have lap time statistics and everything. Guess what, out of 10-12 people (non-pros and pros all mix in), she was ranked #5 (3 seconds behind me) beating many men too. I was ranked #3 in that round running 1 second behind the two pros in front of me. My wife did not crash at all and that is our FIRST time running electric kart on an unfamiliar track layout. For full disclosure, she just got her driver's license few weeks ago and I don't know how she can manage to drive kart fast. I was speechless, amazed and shocked lol.

I would imagine your wife will pull a crazy lap time too

Haha, I love my wife dearly. She is beautiful, super sweet and yadda yadda, but eye hand coordination and quick reflexes she does not posses. She is also very, very timid.

That is awesome about your wife! So great. She is a natural. Karts are a blast. Now time for a Miata, Spec Racer Ford or ???

Mine will try so very hard and I convinced her that the RCF would be easy for her to drive.

From the picture, your wife is good looking indeed! Is this her first time driving a high HP car on track? You MUST film the event! I am curious of the outcomes too.

I tried to convince my wife to go autocrossing with me but she always said no. She said it is boring, the weather is hot, and hate doing assignment (picking up cones), and not fun. She also hates me spending money on tires and brakes for car in general haha. I'm so glad you are able to convince your wife to do track lol. What is the secret??

By the way, if you ever come down to Southern CA, let's register autocrossing with Porsche Club together. They have monthly event. You seem like a very fast driver and a good guy to talk to about cars!

So what is the code to go extreme lol

Go to Sport+ and turn off the stability control and the center ring will display "EXPERT" on the lower right. I haven't tested it out on the road or track, but I have tested it out on the display. lol

I heard there's some other hack to disable a couple other things, but that's it's really a Lexus diagnosis feature and doesn't really do much for the driver.

Someone showed me what they called extreme mode, but I cannot duplicate now. Doing something wrong. I will get them to text me instructions tomorrow.

It seemed like the screen stayed in normal mode screen but flashed real quick when done correctly. Not sure if true, but I was told it is only mode that truly disengages all electronic stability control and takes hp up to 473. May be urban myth. Find out for sure tomorrow.

On the track, I cannot stand any electronics as it makes a car feel unsettled, especially if trying to throttle steer through a carousel or a long sweeping turn where you want the car lose enough to use throttle and slight weight shifts to tighten or widen as opposed to electronic inputs to a given wheel.

Porsche turbos are the same. You think PSM us turned off, but its still there and can be felt in track when close to limits.

Yep, first time behind the wheel on the track. Lol, I think my wife would be chatting with your wife off in the shade somewhere at an auto cross when it came to out of car cone duties . . ., especially on hot or cold days. Auto cross takes a bit of commitment, but is great for learning balance and car control.

Heck, just find a big parking lot and start practicing high speed corners with balance and using throttle adjustments for oversteer and understand. Learn to find consistent or maintenance throttle for balance through turns. Great way to learn car control and traction.
