Got mine
Congrats, did you purchase dealer inventory or custom order yours? Just curious if you ordered yours how long it took. A few guys over on www.lexusrc-f.com have said it took 6-10 weeks.
Probably didn't get too great of a deal, about $ 2,000 off. Option were leather trimmed interior, navigation system, premium package, moonroof, trunk mat, cargo net, wheel locks and bumper app. Sticker was $ 71,724.
Also, I'm glad this car belong to one of the professional drivers like you. I read in another thread that you are driving instructor and have raced with many cars. Do you happen to do simulation racing as well like Gran Turismo, iRacing or something similar?
I also autocross/track my IS a lot in CA but not at a competitive level yet.
Thank you very much for sharing. So I guess out of the door is around 77k including tax and handling fee plus other misc fees?

The RC F feels very similar to my old 996tt cab and 997tt cab in corners. Strikingly similar. Both the RC F and the water cooled Porsche twin turbos are very quiet and solid feeling which equates to a sensation that you are barely moving when in triple digits. My M3 felt like you were going a 100 when going a hundred.
The RC F does not have the pin you back hard core acceleration of the water cooled Porsche twin turbos once the k20s spool up. The RCF is more linear and deceptive, perhaps again due to noise dampening and size.
The 8 speed in Sport S+ is my preference for throttle response. In auto mode, the other settings have a bit too much of a pause waiting for the downshift and coming on cam before the power hits. Both Sport and Sport S, however, seem fine when driving aggressively and keeping revs up.
Has anyone used extreme mode?
I haven't tried the "EXPERT" mode yet. Throttle response definitely noticeable in Sport S....in S+ it REALLY wakes up. When wanting to keep the revs up, it seems to do a great job...but spring breakers are down here right now and the FHP are everywhere..so my driving habits have to be constrained a little more. I'll be up at Road Atlanta in June and then up near you at Barber in July for some driving. Was hoping to get a chance to meet you and maybe get some instruction since you drive the F also. I'm usually with the guys from Topspeed at Atlanta and by myself for Barber.
Thanks. Saw this color in the sun for the first time this weekend. The gold metallic undercoat is pretty wild in the sun. Below is a picture in the sun, but this paint just does not photograph well.

By the way, I do a lot of autocross with the Porsche Club of America (PCA) in Irvine. They have the longest and best layout (usually 70-90 seconds long) with tons of turns which makes their event so fun. I also like that these guys welcome non-Porsche people and are very friendly. The instructors always are willing to share good tips and discuss cars all day long.
On track, I like doing time trials on the big Willow Springs. I hate the very last decreasing radius corner which is so dangerous and slippery there though. A lot of people either spin out, run off track, or lose precious time trying to save the car on that one.
On simulation, I like to run on Nurburgring in Gran Turismo 6. I extremely like this track lay out because it has everything you need from technical tight turns to all the way flat out long straight. Driver's skill on this track can never be hidden. The car performance will show up vividly here on this track. I like the LFA so much because LFA poses such a good time (7;14) on it despite having so much disadvantages comparing to other super cars (relatively low HP and torque, heavy, etc) and I believe that lap time was run on a street tire (not slick tires) on a production car (not heavily modified version).

Road Atlanta in June may be a great idea. I am wanting wife to get some track time in the RCF. No way will I instruct her and I pity the poor guy that does. She is Russian and drove a car for the very first time at 22 years old after she moved here ten years ago. She drives not like a grand ma, but like a timid grand ma. She, however, wants to drive on the track.
Haha, my wife and her poor instructor will just be a speed bump for all of the other novices trying to have fun . . . I will bring the cup car for me.
Man, that color under the sun is just GORGEOUS! I can just buy the RCF based on the color alone. Now, I'm motivated to repaint my car using this exact same color haha.

Looks like it's July 11-12 at Barber MSP. http://www.chinmotorsports.com/Calendar.aspx
You should mount a GoPro inside your RC F when she's getting instructed
. Love your color choice BTW, still waiting to see one in person.
