It took 30 minutes for Lexus to install the new ECU for the spoiler. It's a simple installation.

Mine too!!!
New owner and 1st post! USB Mica, ML Audi, CF, TVD, 19" 20 spoke wheels.
It's got approx 2200 miles and after washing and drying the car off last night, the wing is now stuck in the up position! Prior to drying the car I put the wing in the up position with the dash switch; when done I tried to manually lower the wing by the dash switch and it's stuck up. If I held the dash switch down for several seconds the wing would start to go down, get 1/2 way down then immediately reverse and go back up. I'll try to raise it again. Was very careful not to put any pressure on the wing during the drying off! Is there a TSB/TIS yet? If so does anyone have the number?

The new chip should be publicly available soon--if it is not already. In the interim, your dealer can reset the over torqued motor.

Yes there is a TSB: L-SB-0018-15 There is a new version of the spoiler control computer to fix it.

I attached the PDF for it.

Thanks! It shows an effective VIN date so everyone can immediately see if their RC F needs to get the update.

This should be a sticky from a moderator

Not to sound like an idiot (actually, yes, sounding like an idiot), but how can we tell if our VIN is prior to the effective date?

I think this is right, but I interpret this as anything made prior to JTHHP5BC#F5002927 . The first RCF was maybe VIN F5000000, so all cars made up to VIN 2927 are affected. My car happens to be 3607, so it would be after the run of cars in this TSB. If you are 2928 or higher, you should be alright.

This is interesting because I went into service about 2 weeks ago for an unrelated issue, and I actually mentioned that someone on the forum had a TSB print out for the active wing, and they offered to look it up but said that there weren't any TSB's affecting my VIN 2667

I'm currently at 3700mi with no stuck wing or fuel pump issues yet *knock on wood*

Yours should have the newer part installed from the factory.
