RC-F & pre-ordered price vs msrp
Hey All,
I've looked at the RC-F pricing I'm debating if I should pre-order my RC-F or wait to test drive one before I make my decision. My question for those of you who pre-ordered is..
Was there any wiggle room on the price you agreed to when you did your pre-order or was the dealer pretty firm on the msrp? Like every car, there is obviously some wiggle room with the price but this being a new car, I'm assuming that most dealers will stick to their guns when it comes to the price.
I'd appreciate any information regarding your experience with your pre-order and the price you agreed to vs the msrp.
Thanks !

While CA dealers may speculate and buy cars for the lot, the majority of the RCFs will be special orders. I would expect nominal discounts or a bump on your trade.
Others may have different accounts. I don't know how some of the journalists are coming up with their prices. The pricing scheme is the Euro model: base model and then add what you want. This is not an inexpensive ride, but high value for the money.

My RCF has been ordered. Price: to be determined when I trade the 2012 ISF. I know these guys and it's my 5th Lexus. I ordered just about everything except the Pre-collision stuff. Price with tax: looks like $85,000. It's a carbon TVD in ultrasonic blue mica.

I could see the car easily getting to that 85k mark... 10k for Premium + Performance packages, Nav + ML, + 8% Tax (in CA at least) gets you pretty darn close to that mark.

If you are a potential Tesla buyer, you are clearly on the opposite end of the spectrum. I would suggest that you not buy ANY F, M, AMG or RS cars. They are definitely for the car enthusiast who loves the sound and power of performance cars.
For me, electric just does not move me in the same way (no pun intended).

Hahaha, there is a Tesla every other car in my neighborhood! I would never buy one of those things, cool yes but already played out! Plus who knows the long term reliability of that car? No one yet!!!
