Low pressure fuel pump Driveability
Hi to all forum members,
I currently own a 2020 RCF track edition with 11,000 miles on it. Right now is the time of the year when I am getting ready to start using it again. I’ve already done a spring detailing and tomorrow I am scheduled with my local Lexus dealer to have the oil changed and to check all the fluids, since it has been sitting plugged in for 5 months. I have taken it out once and it ran flawlessly. I absolutely Love the car ! I use as an aggressive canyon carver, which it does very well since I have installed Michelin Pilot sport cup 2 tires. And I have also installed a GT Haus Rear muffler, SR Pipe, and the mid pipe cat-back LSR pipe with front. The RCF sounds absolutely amazing with this set up ! I absolutely Love the car !
OK , enough talking about how much I love the RCF track edition, I was just curious with the latest recall if other Forum members are going to continue driving there RCF’s or they are going to wait until the recall is done !
Thank You.

Good to hear you are loving your RCF TE. If you are not seeing any issues (humming sound coming from the back) and any hesitation etc. then you should be fine. Right now mine is sitting in the garage like yourself, for the winter. Have only driven it once. Mine is also on the recall list, but I don't have any fuel pump issues so I will be driving mine.

I plan to continue driving mine and signing up for HPDE track days. Then I'll take the free new fuel pump whenever they become available.
The recall document was finally posted and looks like Lexus only estimates less than 1% of vehicles are affected. Plus it seems like the issue is related to high fuel temperatures. If you live someplace where your car was stored for the last 5 months, then it's probably safe to assume you'll never see high fuel temperatures.
The only low pressure fuel pump issue I've had in my 2015 (owned since 2019) was a buzzing noise that was fixed with an ECU update under warranty. That noise was never an issue on 2017+ cars anyway.

Thanks very much. Appreciate the nice complements. Welcome to the board. Don't hesitate if you have any further questions. Cheers!
