I ordered a replacement high pressure fuel pump for my '15 F Sport. The solenoid or "plunger" does not move when I try to compress it by hand like I'm able to with the old one.

Is this expected since it's new and perhaps needs a mechanical force to break it over? I'd hate to install it seized then dick up the camshaft.
