Hi guys,
Has anyone here been running a set of Apex SM-10 rims? I am looking to get a staggared set up with 19x9 +34 offset in the front, and 19x10 +40 offset in the rear. Would run OEM tire size (255/35/19 front, 275/35/19 rear).

My main question is if I will experience any rubbing on the fender/liner with the front rims changing from the OEM +50 offset to the Apex with +34 offset.
I visited willtheyfit.com and see the Apex wheels will poke out 14mm more than OEM, but not sure if this will result in rubbing on the fender liner

Thx!

Just a question - Why would you want to replace forged wheels with flow-formed wheels

They look like the Track edition, and the current wheels are a PITA to clean…

"Poking out 14mm" compared to OEM is pretty much exactly the same as adding 15mm spacers to the stock wheels. 15mm spacers are a very common size for people to run so there's no concerns on that size. I'd try to get the SM10-RS forged version over the flow formed, but sizes seem fine.

I would definetely do forged, but they only make them in an 18", was ideally wanting to get 19's as I like the OEM fitment of that size. Do you think I need to have forged? I dont track it, just spirited driving on backroads

You don't "need" forged, but the factory wheels are forged so anything else would be a heavier downgrade. Might look nice, but won't drive as nice.

I have SM-10 RS (look alike?) forged, in 19's. 19x10.5 (21lbs) and 19x11.5(22lbs). Although ordered through a company in China, they are very high quality forged wheels. Also, optioned to accept factory center caps.
These were around 650-700 per wheel.

I'm with the poster above. As someone who has run many APEX setups, you can do better, and get them fully forged. APEX is overpriced. ORT has same warranty as APEX and more affordale, or you can try your luck on Alibaba. Not all China manufacturers are great. The downside is you have to wait 2 months for the custom set to be built.

Here is a link to the set I just designed and spec'd for a standard RC

Your car looks so sick .. love it!

Are you saying these wheels are Apex branded or not for clarity?

Thanks!

They claim to make the wheels for Apex, l don't know that for a fact. But look up RA forged wheels on IG, and also Vyre forged. I ordered them without branding but only with the wheel model (SM-10RS). Otherwise, they would have made them with Apex branding. The main advantage is custom widths, offsets, engraving of your choice, 60.1 hub bore (no need for hub rings), factory center cap fitment, custom finish of your choice, etc. Just to be clear, I have nothing against Apex, high quality wheels and excellent people to deal with. I've had two sets of wheels from them
