Question about Banks Pedal Monster
Hi everyone,
I came across this throttle controller and did not really see it mentioned here. However, I like that it pulls power from the OBD because all other controllers work off the acceleration pedal/sensor or whatever. I used to have the APEXI throttle controller for around 8 months and one day car just went into limp mode and when I took it off the car was fine. After reading many posts, it’s a common issue with these kind of throttle controllers. I’m not even sure if this device works with our cars but I see another post saying they installed on the IS500 so wondering if other have tried it out or thought abt it?

I have the AFE Power SprintBooster v3 and I never had any issues. APEXi is notorious for having the limp mode issues and it is most likely due to the circuit for it to be disabled while in reverse, but definitely never experienced any issues with my AFE Power in the 3+ years I have had it on for. If you want go with a tried and tested one then go with this. The pendant is very small as well, which makes for a very clean and discreet install.
No they don't. They just make the car super sharp and hyper-alert in the first half of the throttle movement. It makes the car feel a lot more torquier since it jumps hard in the first few mm of the throttle movement. They just "front load" and give you everything sooner. The pulleys on the other hand, do free up more power and do make the car accelerate faster.
