Default Cracked dash

Thought this problem ended with the GS.

Maybe it’s a reflection of climate change?

Anyway, new dash on its way from Japan and covered under warranty.

And also new leather for the driver’s seat due to peeling at the bolster.

My interior is still as good as new. 7+ years old now, but with only 20,000 KM as a caveat. Also, kept in the garage so that also makes a difference if the car is parked outside.

Any pictures? Do you keep your car in a garage? Mine's a 2015 with just about 60k on the clock, no dash or seat issues.

I guess Australian heat is no joke. I always put a sunshade when parked outside.

The car was originally from Queensland.

It’s a daily driver with 70,000kms.

The work carpark is outside otherwise garaged.

By the way, the cost for dealer brake/rotors replacement has just climbed from $5000 to $6000 Aus.

Driver’s seat replaced and new dash.
Forgot how tight the bolsters were when the seat was new.
Thankyou Lexus for the warranty repairs.
That’s why I’m in the process of buying my fourth Lexus.

Where did it crack at? Thankfully, I have a garage at home, work, and always use a visor when parked outside. The FL sun/heat is brutal on dashes.

It cracked in the thinnest section of the dash directly above the clock. First thing I noticed was a slight buckling of the dash in that area.

I was surprised at the low price of the parts listed as drivers seat back and dash pad. $1300 australian all up. It was 3 days in the shop so the labour bill would have been a horror.
