Hello all i am looking into purchasing high spark ignition coils for my RCF. I have noticed that there are two options, the regular which is 935$ and the premium which are 1700$, i tried to search but to no use, i wanted to know what is the difference between regular and premium, is the output the same, just the finish of the case, please advise if anyone has information on this.

Yes I saw that thread only thing that's different are the cap covers, the premium one has a more premium finish, or am I missing something?

Everything I can find on those are pretty vague. Best I can find for the difference between standard and premium is this quote:

This is a special tuning ignition coil that has changed the number of coil turns and increased the secondary voltage output. By outputting a high voltage and stable secondary voltage, it is tuned for quietness, torque and response improvement during idling and low rotation, and high output during acceleration.

The premium model has the effect of reducing noise, smooth the flow of electricity, and increase power and torque.
Basically using a bunch of Google translate, I was able to narrow these down to being related to the company "Mature" in Japan. Which has a pretty big catalog of these things. So the premium version has some circuitry to "reduce noise" and a neat looking little magnet on the top to show off to your friends that you sprung for the premium model.

What I found kinda funny was the prices in Japan are actually kinda reasonable. They have a statement on their website that says: "This coil is managed by the same company from planning to manufacturing. For that reason the price is set to equal or less than the original products." A new set of RCF ignition coils is $644, a new set of HighSpark ignition coils would be $504 (~$1k for premium) based on current conversion rate. For comparison, a set of Denso "OE" ignition coils from Rock Auto would cost $310.

At those prices, they seem like a reasonable upgrade. At the prices US vendors are trying to sell them for, I'd just get a new set of OEM ignition coils and call it a day personally.

Mature website, that lists even more applications than the HSCOIL website: https://mature-jp.shop/items/609dfc750e24031cea376fb4 (They only sell in Japan, no overseas shipping)

Thank you for sharing all that, I think the reason why they are cheaper is because they are for Toyota 4 cylinder so our RCF will need double the quantity and may be different. I tried looking on their site have to request for lexus

Yeah on their site a set of 4 is $252, you'd just order two sets for a V8. So $504 for a full set of 8.

I cross referenced them based on the OEM part number. 9091902260 is the current part number that has superseded some older coil pack part numbers, which fits 400 Toyota/Lexus vehicle variants going back to 2003. From what I can tell Toyota only has about 3 or 4 different coil packs used across their product lines, so there's nothing that special about the V8 ignition coil packs.
