4 door replacement for the RC?
I've been tossing around the idea of moving to a 4 door however I can find a reason on everything I come across as to why its not a better idea. Essentially I'd like similar reliability, some additional power, and AWD but here's my list and gripes:
IS350 - oddly felt more cramped in the drivers seat and to be honest i just see way too many of them around.
Cadillac CT5-V - good size, good power but it's a GM and depreciation and reliability are very questionable
Audi S4 - Beautiful interior, great driving car but awful reliability and holding on to a car for 5-7 years seems like it can get mighty expensive long term
BMW M340i - See above
Any other ideas or thoughts?
It really makes me realize how good the RC is when its very difficult to even find a replacement I'd consider.

Nobody can pick for you. The RC is definitely not an “everybody car” and if you ever have one you know. Mine is a 15 Fsport AWD I have never run across anything I would expect to replace it. Yes, there’s faster, quicker, better handling and better mileage replacements but nothing touches its reliability, looks, or uniqueness. Nothing I’ve found checks those boxes like the RC. Mine’s a daily driver as well. Only thing I would maybe change to would be an IS equipped like my RC. But, like you said, they’re plentiful. My RC is black and never see another one, I don’t see too many black IS’s either.
of an "individual" or stand out on the road. I rarely see RC's, the others listed, dozens everyday.

Just saw an ad for the new 23 Toyota Crown. In Platinum trim level, it has a leather interior with all of the safety features of a Lexus and is an AWD hybrid. May be worth looking at as well. https://www.toyota.com/crown/?addisc...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

The RC is quite a strange car, but is quite unique from what he is.
I see what you mean with the IS beeing more cramped that the RC. It's true. You have more front occupant space for the RC, also due to the B pillar be more in the back. But you have also more leg and headroom. It's a great car for tall peoples.
Audi and BMW are a lotery in my eyes. You can fall on something that will hold on great, or be plagued with bugs all throughout your ownership. Also, the 3er BMW front seat space isn't really different from the IS.
If four doors and habitability and reliability are the demand of yours. I would wait until Toyota brings his Toyota Crown sedan (not the SUV that is coming right now, the next one). It should be something close to a GS meets ES type of thing.

Just to throw out a curve ball....what about a sporty SUV? BMW X3 or even X5 with the //M Sport package (crucial part here) is a nice ride, and if you're going bigger why not just go big? Audi SQ5 is another fun contender...and a rocket ship compared to the RC. These would be my considerations for when the coupe days are over for me.

Being I've had ES's, IS's, and still have an RC as my daily driver. I'd probably go with another IS' fully decked out F-sport , in black
of coarse. But, that's just me. But I'm an old fart that's had dozens of cars over the years. I have done the German thing a few times as well.
No more of those nightmares. It'd be an over the top IS for me.

No chance, I know multiple people that have had engine troubles and last I read they were back ordered on short blocks from the sheer amount of failures they've had. I usually buy pre-owned and run my cars to about the 90-100k mark, the Kia's dont seem they'll last that long.
