Angry 2015 RC350F Brake Schedule

Hello All, I have a 2015 RC350 F Sport and during my 60K service I was advised it needed Front brake pads and rotors AGAIN! These were changed at 27K, ALL FOUR!

Does this seem normal? Is everyone having this same experience with the Pads AND ROTORS having to be changed every +- 30K miles?

Thanks in advance!
J.

My 2015 had the fronts (only) done a couple of weeks ago - first time (47K miles). Rears are still good.

does your steering wheel or car shake when depressing the brake pedal? if not, then your brakes are still good. i haven't changed since i bought the car used, but now it's showing signs of vibration on the pads and rotors. i bought it used at 69K miles and now it's at 85K miles.i know i'll need to do a replacement.

With my driving style, I average 3 years replacing the front pads, 6 years for all rotors and all pads.

not bad at all. I'm almost 2 years With my car and haven't done a replacement yet but I know I'll need to because when I put the RC in sport+ mode and do heavy braking, I hear the pads scratching the rotors.

OEM brakes were swapped (rotors and pads/F&R) under CPO at 23k, by 40k I was due again. I did it myself using (sp?) Akenobo pads and rotors from Autozone, I'm around 77k now with plenty of pad left front and rear, I'd guess at least another 10k so I feel the OEM units are sub par for life expectancy.

I just replaced my front rotors and pads with this set...it was very easy to do yourself! Also replaced the rear only Pads with the Akebono pads purchased from NAPA. I was trying to find the 2 piece rotors, but nobody carries them after market that are drilled and slotted.
I decided to paint the front Calipers while I was at it, what do you think?

Thanks Giangsturh,
The price for the rotors and pads isn't terrible considering that the OEM rotors from the dealership are like $1200 just for the rotors. I thought it was a good deal considering.

27k? I'd be playing the lottery if that was me! The brakes in my IS200T (with the large F Sport brakes) were 11k items. they use professional german formula and are supplied by BMW's supplier. so they stop hard, fast, and aggressive using metallic compounds. so they grind away at rotors and cause tons of dirt and noise. same experience with all top tier europeans.

you have to pay to play. 27k is unbelievable though. kinda curious how you did that well.

No and no. I replaced my pads and not the rotors at 60,000. Every vehicle that I have owned, and I have had 12 or more, have never needed pads befor 40,000 miles.
