'17 RC200T surging while driving
All, I have recently been experiencing a slight or weak surging while driving. Generally while I'm at steady throttle position and the engine is under medium load (climbing a long hill on the highway or accelerating modestly and steadily from a stop). Just a weak feeling in my pants that the engine bogs very slightly then pushes again repeatedly. I've watched the tach and I see a drop of ~200 rpm.
This isn't a constant problem, it's one of those things that if I try to get the dealer tech to replicate they will claim the problem was not repeatable.
I will give the MAF a clean next week when I get a chance, but does anyone else have thoughts on what to look for?
I am hopeful that the Toyota fuel pump recall will be issued quickly and maybe the new fuel pump and filter will fix, but that will be months before dealerships get parts and we get appointments for the repair.
