G'day...
Just taking my car out of winter storage.
My battery is dead and won't take a charge, so...time for a new one. Will a group 24f battery from Costco fit..?? From what I have researched, it calls for a group 24 that is 1/2 inch less in length than the 24f. Costco doesn't carry the 24.
My 2015 oem battery gave up recently too. Went to Costco in Toronto and got this battery. Same cold cranking amps and same dimensions as the OEM battery. “Group size” = 34 and “Fitment code” = 4. Swapped out in 5 mins and have had no issues at all since. The radio presets or seat settings didn’t reset either.
Beau: If you are going to store a car for the winter, a Battery Tender is a must.
And for all the owners of the 2015 cars out there, it is my understanding and my experience that a pretty good battery, like the ones in a new Lexus, will last reliably for about 4 to 5 years. I replaced my battery last year when cranking got a little labored (my 2015 car is as old as possible, as I bought it at the earliest possible time). If you have not done so yet, now is a good time to think about it.
