noticed this which breaks down the F-Sport package
Right. The FSport package has Sport+ mode which changes steering ratio , braking, shifts and suspension settings. Package gives you Eco, normal, sport and sport+ settings.
sales guy mentioned the "SPORT S+" being part of the F-Sport package and not sure I believed him haha

Get a 350 F-Sport and be done with it, especially if you want some spirited driving. It's the best package and now with the way these cars are depreciating you're going to be splitting hairs with the 4cyl sister car. Mine has the Rioja red seats and I get lots of complements on them, plus they're unbelievably comfortable. It's a great red because it's not bright like the RC-F is.

thank you for the suggestion, I may be an odd one out by not wanting the V6 and being happy with the fuel economy of the smaller engine

Probably not a bad idea. Especially that premium gas around here is right at 4 bucks a gallon (for top tier stuff anyway) Don't know what it is where you are.

regular gas is $3.29 as of today, but was recently $3.39+
are the turbocharged engines premium gas only or could you alternate between?
I once had this exact question when I was looking at the RC models..
After speaking with owners of them at my local Lexus dealer, I made the choice when I stumbled upon the NA V8, the RCF.
When I learned that the F could run like a Prius in the 'Atkinson cycle' I was sold lol.
It can go from a beautiful car with decent gas mileage, then you can wake full V8 up and start using some gas if you'd like to have some fun lol.
Overall, they're all great platforms. Lots of things you can change to personal preference later down the road.

Spirited driving in an SUV, isn't that an oxymoron In my younger years I was all about spirited driving in performance and muscle cars.
Really liked the car, but ultimately ended up moving on from it to go back to a '23 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4. Even though I only had the 200t, that thing moved!

Enjoy your spirited 350 F-sport
YMMV,

I'm sorry, but not sure if you're just old (i'm 50), but there's plenty in the RC to drive "spiritedly", especially if you do the right mods to them. And where do you think I was talking about an SUV? Are you ok?
I disagree about the backseat, I see this comment often and I feel like people haven't actually tried getting back there, or are abnormally sized.
Of course, your results may vary, but I have passengers in the backseat fairly frequent and anyone under 5'10" fits just fine. Of course the front seats have to be moved forward but I have never felt like it's too much or impossible to drive and I am 6'1".
Now if everyone is > 6 feet and 300 pounds then people are not gonna fit too well but I would say if you are average sized, the RC is plenty capable with 4 passengers, the only coupe I have seen that compares or is better is the M2/M4, every other coupe I have been in like the camaro/mustang/911/LC has less leg/head room
Yes, you can actually fit a couple of teenagers in the back of the RCF w/o their heads hitting the ceiling. Can’t say that for the Nissan GTR.
