Is there any factory tint (not dealer)
Does the RC come with any tint from the factory? Rear window, moon roof, anything?
My RC 350 F-Sport is coming in another month or so. I know a lot of dealers tint the cars as they enter dealer stock so most people see them already tinted.. My rig won't go into dealer stock so I get to make more decisions myself. I'm lining up a detailer to apply tint and a few other things for me.
Knowing what it comes with, will help me plan what I want to change.
I've dug around in the forums and have not been able to figure out if any of the windows come with any factory tint.

This is pretty standard for sedans and coupes, I think. My RX had tint which I am sure came from the factory on the rear windows and the back window, but, of course, the windshield and the front side windows had no tint, for obvious reasons. There are plenty of shops around town that will offer tint in a variety of colors and a variety of lightness. I looked at this for my RC, but did not tint any windows, but I might. This tint was a film that is applied to the inside of the window, and the shop certainly appeared to be very experienced and professional. Find a shop like that in your area and talk to the staff.

SUV's, vans and trucks come from the factory with dyed glass for privacy, it is not actually "tinted". it does absolutely nothing to reject heat or UV rays. it is simply for privacy only. cars do not come with privacy glass because each state has a different tint law. so manufacturers leave those "clear". now, even cars do have some "tint" to them. they are not perfectly clear by no means. one way to tell this is to roll down your driver window, thus giving you a "clear" view to the outside, then look out your windshield. while it looks clear, it actually isn't. Toyota cars come from the factory with quite a bit of tint to them, so when you apply an actual film, you have to be careful not to exceed the state laws. in our state, we are allowed up to 32% VLT (visible light transmittance) on cars and front windows of trucks/suv's. so in our shop we have to actually use a 45% film in order to be legal. for instance, my wife's RC is tinted with SunTek CXP45 on the whole car and SunTek CIR70 on the whole windshield. while the windshield is technically "illegal" it is so clear that no one will know unless I show it to them. by the way, I tint windows for a living, so I do have some knowledge on the subject. but even I probably don't know everything there is to know about tinting...
