Does anyone here sufferer from those stupid scratches that are left underneath the door handle?

Don't even think about putting that crap on your car...just have an installer put clear protective film in the caved areas. They do it all the time. It's on mine.

30 seconds with some rubbing compound clears up the scratches.. for me it is just part of detailing the car.

Exactly. That's why we buy all the expensive compounds and polishes. When else would we be able to use them if we didn't get an occasional scratch?

Those things look like crap. Find a place that installs Expel and have him do the concave area under the handles. I might add that when I had the clear film applied to my RC when it was new, even though we did the full hood, mirrors, front fenders and that ledge outside the trunk, I asked about the door handles, and he said that it's very hard to do that spot in a way that looks good and lasts, so I skipped it. No problem after 2.5 years. As noted above, unless your nails are longer and stronger than most, a little "Scratch X" every six months will fix any such problem, but in my opinion you are catastrophizing.

I second or third the use of compounds or sealing methods (ceramic coat) your car. Other methods dont look as good.
