Default Door Edge guards

Anyone here know where i can get a clear film type door edge guard? I have seen plastic/rubber type ones but they are bulky and very ugly. I am hoping to find a product that is hardly visible...

Thanks

Invinca-Shield apparently makes door edge guards using the 3M film (http://www.invinca-shield.com/asp/genkit.asp?kit=2628). I have to admit, though--I bought them but couldn't figure out how to apply them. They were only $4 so I threw them away.

Yeah, Don't open your doors into solid objects!!LOL!! JK.....I always, always, always make sure that I (or a passenger) don't chip the doors when opening. Much easier than rock chips, other people opening into your doors, etc, where you have no control.

As stated the best way to not have the nicks on the door edge...be careful and stop it from happening. Our doors have a huge swing radius.

This link is awesome. Do they sell these locally on BM stores? have not seen these. It may just work. Should. They are reasonably priced, too. $13 for a 12 feet.

I used Trimbrite clear door edge protector on the ES back in 07 when we got it. It's still on, and you have to look really close to see it. The only time it really stands out is when I wax it and don't get all the wax off, before I get the tooth brush out.

Is one place that I see sells it. TriT9023 I don't remember where I got mine, but was probably Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Advance Auto they are the closest to me. I should use what I have left to put on the SC, noe that I found it again. I'll wait till it gets warmer, it should be between 60-80 degrees F & out of direct sunlight. Remember to clean the area with alcohol before installing.

Have to check Trimbrite out. Hopefully Advance Auto has them, thanks.

Great inputs! I found this website that has many trim guard choices.

I'll have to think about the Trimbrite and Xpel for my 09 PB. I'll probably go for black trims. I just hope these solutions will not eat the paint, discolor it, or leave sticky residues.

Should not damage the paint, but there's only 1 way to find out.

Most of us are looking at guards less visible than the snap type guards which can be tacky.

Trying to figure out the best plastic-transparent type we can get, with no damage to paint and is completely removable and replaceable (asking for too much, eh?).

Probably doesn't work for everyone, but I went a different direction and put a bumper on my garage wall - $10 at amazon.

If I could only take my garage with me everywhere I go then I wouldn't have to worry about the jerks who purposely want to ding your car.
