With summertime upon us, I'd like to have a single point of reference for all the tint questions that will come. If you've had your RC tinted, please upload pictures to this thread. Questions about RC tint will be merged here as well to consolidate Q&A
Please list:
- % tint
- color of your interior (does make a big difference in how dark tint appears)
- type of tint if you know it (smoke, dyed, metalized, ceramic, etc)
- brand of tint if you know it (3M, Solarguard, Lumaster, etc)
anyone have problems getting their window tinted? Just got my RC 350 and i took it to one of the most referred places in town for tints. (small town )
anyways, they are having trouble with the drivers side window bc that little autoroll down feature when you open the door keeps on messing up the bottom edge of the tint. I've already taken it back to the shop for them to fix it and now I have to take it back on Monday to get it fixed again.
Does anyone know if there is a way to disable this auto roll down feature on the rc 350?
Most use a device to save your car's settings. This allows the battery to be disconnected so the windows don't move during tint application. They may need to replace both at this point.. (Never open or close the doors while battery is disconnected, just in case)
Yeh I'm currently located in Amarillo and there aren't many high end audio/tint shops around.
I'm going to forward this memory saver device to the shop, but just for clarification, why wouldn't you want to open or close the door when the battery is disconnected?
a professional will definitely know to stop a window from rolling down. On the RC there is a black button where the door hits. I recommend that you don't go to that shop because almost all coupes will do that.
With the battery off, you probably do not want to open or close the door with the window up. If you lower the window, even a little, then disconnect the battery, I would think it would be OK to open and close the door, although that would not work in the case where you are applying tint to the front window.
