I know this has come up many times. I got my winter wheels and tires put on today on my car and the shop thought they would be able to set the TPMS up, but they were unable to. Has anyone else had any luck with their RC on going somewhere else besides the dealer? Sorry if this is a double post. Also if anyone else was wondering, 18's will fit perfectly all around on a RWD as a winter set up. Here is a pic of the OZ envys I got put on today.
Just tried it and this did not work. Am I wrong in saying that new tpms have to be set up to the car? Didn't think the car can auto catch the new tpms sensors.
You can use a small hand mirror to find the button, but it is there and it's just hand to find by using your hand. I guess tey did it that way so you don't reset your TPMS all the time.

So what you are saying is that they replaced the factory TPMS with aftermarket, and if this is so it might be that the frequency of the new ones doesn't match what the car expected. What you'll need to do is at the bottom of the page. Take the car to Lexus and give them the new codes and they will have to program it, and it will probably cost you.

Okay, yeah that's what I figured. Didn't know if anyone had found if non dealership shop was able to set this up for them?
I just purchased winter rims/tires and talked to the Lexus dealership and they told me our cars have memory for one set of rims. What you need to do is go to the dealership every time you switch your rims and have the sensor IDs programmed. So what I did was purchase this unit that says it can do what the dealership does and program the sensor IDs in.
The car is so new that most shops don't have the software to do it.
Tire Discounters is where I took mine to, but without the lastest software update they could not communicate with the computer to enter the 4 each number codes.
The dealer is where you will have to take it. It's a 20 minute job and cost me $50 bucks.
