Default First Lexus! Molten Pearl

Hello everyone! I'm coming from a 08 A3 to the new RC. I modded the a3 with audio/body kits. I'm ready to get an exhaust, car audio, and lower it! I'd ideally like to bag it, but we will see.

Today was a good day

Thanks Thanks =)

I am very pleased with this purchase.

I may be wrapping this with some sort of protection. Most of my friends recommend Xpel film. Still debating it, and also trying to get a hook up haha

xpel seems to be all the rage. can't be bad since folks with mclarens and ferraris are using it.

let us know what you end up doing.

You got the color I wanted! I saw it at Westside Lexus when it first came in and the day it sold. Then three of my friends told me you got it - Kevin, Minh Chau & KJ. Check out the new FB Group -> Lexus RC Houston. We want to get a group meet going soon**

Btw, I dropped off my vehicle at Xpel Houston today. The Xpel design team is coming down to design their pattern off my guinea pig ride. I'm anxious and nervous at the same time. I'll post pics when completed.

/u/Badman Forever took some pictures of our cars at the Xpel shop in Houston. They are designing the layouts for the RC F and RC 350. It's in the works! I'll keep yall updated as they progress.

I've been waiting about a month now to get the Xpel (and then the Opticoat) on my car, and just got a note a few days ago that the RC is being "mapped" this week for the templates. Once that is done, installers anywhere will be able to start with the application. Until then, the suggestion is for me to keep the car off of any expressways.

Awesome! As soon as I get any information about xpel I'll make sure to post here so you'll know when the "mapping" is done

Thanks. I expect my detailer will alert me as well, as he is curious to see how xPel will deal with the painted surfaces on my grille, which is not the mesh version that adorns the F-Sport, and with the curve of the rocker panel just before the rear wheel wells (which I may not do anyway). Considering the shapes, his opinion is that the hood is a must, and he notes that the bulge of the front wheel wells expose a lot of painted area to stone chip damage. Doing the full front fenders, however, will add a considerable amount of cost to the job.
We shall see, as the prices will not be set until xPel is done with the mapping and creating the templates.

I'm thinking about doing ceramic coat on the grille now that you mention it. I know Xpel said they won't be doing the grille. They did say they can do the Lexus emblem in the front though.

We were pretty sure that they could not do the vertical pieces to the left and right of the emblem, but I would think that they could do something for the large horizontal bar under the emblem. Still, this area is all black and will be easier to touch up than this very deep and rich "Infrared" paint.
