Not everyone gets the code with our intake pipe but most do. It's a combination of the airflow in the tube and the vent delete. I believe each car just may respond differently. But we always recommend the tune for it. We don't want customers buying them, installing and returning and that's the more likely outcome. These are not really a performance mod unless you count the benefit of valve cover vent delete (which is an obvious benefit).
