Question PLP Intake Question

i am really looking into buying the plp silent flow intake and i was wondering how "silent" it really was. i searched for sound clips but came up with none. also i want to know if i really need a heatsheild for this intake (like the one that comes with the injen genII intake). oh and if you reccomend another intake over this one (except the Srt because i am planning to get an safc) thanks

the PLP truly is silent....you can't hear it at all. i barely even notice except when i'm a bit "heavy" on the pedal...

i don't know if you absolutely need a heatshield with it...a lot of ppl have the intake, but not the heatshield...

you could also get a JoeZ intake pipe & any aftermarket filter to save a few bucks...
