OK so I am tying to do something different with my tails. I have a 92 SC400 first gen tails ( Big orange strip at the top ) I am thinking of blacking out the orange but leaving the word Lexus clear so that will show in orange. I have a black car so it might look good. It also might look ghetto. Just wanted to have a quick look before I got the vinyl cut. ( I am doing vinyl first so if I don't like it I can take it off.

well, i don't think this looks very good. but i guess you could always paint over where you covered up with vinyl if it does not look good in reality.

well...what about making them red?

originally, i made both the turning light and reverse light red which i kinda like. but i guess that will make the reverse lights not as practical or pretty much non-existent. my last car's reverse lights stopped working one time and it was tough to back up at night. i did it for about a week before i had time to get them checked out. it was a mal-function in the wiring. the bulbs were fine. i had to press the brake light gently that whole week to at least see something when i back up.
