To better answer your question, what is your goal with the intake? Power or sound?

If you are looking for power, then anything that replaces the stock intake box will likely result in zero, a minuscule amount, or likely even a net loss of power rather than a gain. Some cars benefit greatly from aftermarket intakes, some not so much. Lexus engineers did a great job on the design of the stock intake on the 3IS. You'd be better off replacing the intake pipe and keeping the stock air box if performance is your goal. An aftermarket intake tube would be less restrictive than the OEM one, but even then, without a full exhaust system, headers, and a tune, to go along with it, the gains would be very minimal if not zero.

If sound is your goal then I'd personally suggest the AFE Takeda as it is one of the few CA intake options that includes a heat shield around it, but pretty much any of the cone filter CA intakes would improve the sound.

AEM is also a good sound option
