Default RR Racing intake vs F-Sport Intake

I was about to purchase a f sport intake but then i ended up buying the rr racing tune and i held off on the intake for a few weeks. well now its been a few weeks and i starting thinking that i should buy the rr racing intake tube rather than the f sport intake now that i have their tune and they should work good together. but i looked on threads and the rr racing intake supposedly doesnt make any power gains( i dont really believe that) while the f sport intake makes little power gains but at least theres gains. what do you think is a better choice? i have the stock intake with a k&n filter. im considering possibly buying the rr racing tube, use my k&n filter, and buy just the f sport lower box just for the extra growl that i keep reading about.

So what im understanding is that theres no performance benefits besides aesthetis. and the only thing that the tune does with the rr racing intake is that there wont be any CEL. i think that ill just get the f sport intake if thats the case. i just would of thought since rr racing is doing great in improving performance in our cars, that their intake would improve performance. i just dont see any legitimate reason to get it. but i know the f sport intake doesnt do much either but i keep reading about the growl it makes and it makes me want to get it.

I read that post a few months back but i kind of just skimmed through it since i never really understood what any of the data means until now. well i still dont fully understand it but i assume a higher MAF g/s is better and a lower IAT is better. with that being said then the f sport lower box with the joez is the best combo. sadly the joez isnt being sold anymore. the f sport tube and lower box are closely the same. sadly there are no testing with the rr racing. i think that ill end up getting the f sport set up. its proven to help and to order the f sport tube and lower box (no filter included since i already have a k&n filter) at lexus dealers online is actually cheaper than the rr racing tube with the f sport lower box. only because a dealer in arizona is selling the tube for $130 and free shipping and the rr racing tube is $120+ $20 shipping. no matter what i tube choose im definitely getting the f sport lower box.

Why is it if i buy the full f sport intake system that itll still be more expensive than buying everything separately? perhaps im missing something that i didnt put in the cart. its from the same lexus dealer so there shouldn’t be a difference let alone it be a better deal to buy everything separately. i have the tube, lower box, filter, and hardware kit all in the cart. perhaps im missing something that i dont realize?

It looks like you're still missing the silicone sleeves. Throttle body to pipe, and pipe to airbox.

The hardware is just the 4 worm clamps. Just order the complete kit.

Never mind the hardware kit should include the sleeves.

So I’m not missing anything? I thought the same thing. Perhaps the hardware kit was missing something But I looked up the part number and looked at pictures from dealer stores on eBay and it appeared to include the sleeves and clamps.

It looks like you have everything ordered needed.
Curious to where you are ordering from. Reason being is sometimes they don't have have it all in stock.

So the complete order won't ship until they do have it. Also mostly likely the shipping will be high. I had it happen to me once or twice.

So that being said maybe the best deal is on Ebay. Especially from Lexus of Scottsdale Arizona. They normally ship out same day depending what time you order.

I have the intake w/ K&N filter.

The car 100% pulls better and sounds like a monster in higher RPM. Get the RR Racing one.

I ended up getting the full f sport intake kit. i love the way it sounds like. not really much if performance however, but i dont mind. intakes dont make much of a difference for our cars. one thing that i am wondering about is the CARB sticker since i live in California. Im sure that I'm going to need it when i have to smog my car.

I'm thinking the air intake paired with a less restrictive exhaust and tune would defintely have noticeable gains. The intake just by itself not so much in terms of gains.
