need help tuning gs300 aristo swap
Hello guys, I am in the finishing stages of my swap. I got everything swapped and added but it is not running correctly. Shifting and rpm issues. For those who don't know I took and aristo engine trans and ecu and swapped into a 1998 lexus gs300. I have had several conversations with alot of different people and I was told it should be a plug and play but with me having so many issues I contacted a local tune shop. The shop told me to purchase a AEM Plug and play supra ecu and repin. This is a fairly expensive combination and was wondering if it was necessary.
Thanks for the help.

It's been 3 years since you've been trying to get a plug-and-play 98 swap working. It probably is time to just pay someone to finish troubleshooting it so you can enjoy driving it. You either have a bad part or you messed up the wiring when in your previous posts you talked about re-pinning stuff, it's as simple as that.
You can pay some tuner to plug a standalone into your car for no reason other than to spend money. But if you still have messed up wiring, bad sensor, or other defective engine hardware it's not going to change anything. There is zero need to have a tuner do anything on a stock 98 aristo swap.
If your only problem is the way the trans feels, obviously be diligent about the fluid type and also the fluid levels in the trans at operating temperature as these transmissions act real funny if the level isn't kept exactly where it needs to be, either too little or too much.
You previously mentioned in other posts about swapping around different ecus when you couldn't make it run, and also said you wanted a 5 Speed auto trans, so just to verify you are running the Aristo ecu and the 4 Speed Aristo trans correct? you aren't trying to use the GS 5 speed auto trans are you?
Hope you get it sorted out soon,
