Default Which Intake is the best for GS300?

The next mod im getting for my car (02 GS300) is an intake. While i have read many posts on intakes, most seem to be on the GS4 and very few on the GS3.Right now im looking at SRT, ProLex Performance, and Injen. I have no experience using products from any of these companies, so can any one comment on the quality of the products, performance gains(if any), and which one would be best for the GS300?

Thanks.

well i have a gs3 and had the weapon-r intake in 4 a couple of months and it was o.k., than upgraded 2 the srt w/ecu and my god what a difference!! i will vouch 4 srt as a great intake and worth the money, haven't used/heard/or been in a car with the prolex intake but heard good things about it , the ingen i heard was lke the weapon-r not much gain ...... i heard good things on the K&N intake and heard nice things on the RMM intake..... this is just my opinion but i would go with the srt, than again i'm biast since i have it and love it...

good luck......

I have been doping some researcha nd when I had my Maxima, I had a Place Racing intake ad it was like $200. I think I saw the SRT for my Lexus GS 300 for $595? Is this the correct pricing for this unit? I may be ignorant but that seems like a lot for an intake?

Generally that is in the ballpark for the intake. If you pm supratrd he can get you a pretty good price for it. The reason the price is higher than the others is that it comes with a piggyback ECU. Its a very nice intake.

u really shouldn't pay any more than 525.00 or 550.00 shipped 4 the unit, its is probably the best unit on the market, it has a 3.5" intake rather than a 3" pipe like most intakes, and i think that .5" really makes a nice change, also like rich said it comes with a piggy ecu that connects 2 u'r computer , plus a heat shield, its all around a great intake and u'r surely getting what u pay 4 when u have it..

I am just a little thrown off by the new ECU. The one I had in the Maxima didn't need a new ECU. hmmmm....

the ecu is needed 2 avoid the engine light coming on and also cus its a 3.5" intake as opposed 2 the standard 3" more air coming in with just that .5" ... i'm sure some other people could give u better details as to why the ecu is a must with that intake...

Man I'm happy with it. I felt the difference and the look is nice. The SRT is better in performance
but I guess it depends what your looking for. It's worth the money.

Does the injen one fit a 2000 gs 300? I am probably going to choose that intake. I am going to the speedshop today to see my friends and hopefully order it up .
